Dan Ihrke, PTA
Dan earned his Associates of Applied Science for Physical Therapist Assistant from North Iowa Area Community College in 2009. He works for E3 Millennium Therapy in Des Moines as the outpatient clinic manager. Dan also has clinical experience in brain injury rehabilitation and industrial rehabilitation. He treats patients to relieve pain, increase strength and range of motion, and to improve movement quality and overall function. Dan’s approach to therapy includes an individualized home exercise program and patient education in order to achieve the best outcome. Dan lives in Ankeny with his wife and two kids. Outside of work he enjoys various outdoor activities, home remodeling projects, and spending time staying active with his family.
Melanie Hewitt, MPT
Melanie earned her Masters of Physical Therapy from the University of Iowa. She has over 30 years of experience in physical therapy and works for E3 Millennium Therapy in Des Moines in the outpatient clinic and home health settings. She has a passion for working with patients of all ages with various injuries to help them regain strength, balance, and improve overall function. She approaches each patient with their individual goals in mind and will strive to help her patients achieve the best possible outcomes. She lives in Des Moines with her husband. When she isn’t working she enjoys kayaking, hiking, and photography.
Mindy Oxenford, PT, DPT
Mindy received her B.S. with a minor in Theology from the University of Notre Dame in 1998 and her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Creighton University in 2001. After starting her career working in the schools, she quickly transitioned to the outpatient setting. Over the next several years, Mindy furthered her clinical skill, moved into management, and worked as a travel therapist. Returning to the Midwest, Mindy joined the Millennium Management Team in March of 2016. As the Director of Outpatient Services, her primary responsibilities relate to the operation, growth and development of Millennium Therapy’s outpatient locations. She has a passion for wellness, education, and working with patients who have chronic pain. When not working, Mindy enjoys watching movies, walking her dog, spending time with family, and curling!
Stephanie Berry, PT, DPT
Stephanie graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a BA in exercise science. She went on to get her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Iowa. Stephanie is from Earlham and returned to the area following graduate school. She has a passion for working with women’s health clients and high school athletes in addition to addressing injury prevention and treating a variety of orthopedic injuries. Stephanie is a certified Astym provider and a credentialed clinical instructor. She is married with three children and currently resides in Winterset. Her hobbies and interests include running, swimming and spending time with her family.
Angela Hansen-Abbas MS, OTR/L
Angela is an Occupational Therapist who graduated from Wartburg College with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She then attended Washington University and received a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy in 1993. After starting her career in Acute Rehab, Chronic Pain Management, and Hand Therapy, Angela made a move toward geriatrics, outpatient and skilled nursing. Angela has been with Millennium Rehab since it started in 1999. Her role as Privacy and Security Officer allows her to monitor all employees and the company in regards to documentation, billing, insurance, and confidentiality. Angela is passionate about encouraging all employees to reach their full potential both personally and professionally. Angela is excited about the future changes health care and how to prepare our employees.
Stacy Young MS, CCC/SLP
Stacy earned her undergraduate degree in Speech and Hearing Science from the University of Iowa and her Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. She practiced largely in long term care and hospital based settings. Stacy joined Millennium in February, 2005. Since then she expanded her skills in the areas of endoscopic swallow evaluations, outpatient care, home health care, and augmentative communication. In 2009 Stacy took on the role of Director of Training & Staff Development. This allows her to meet with Millennium staff across the state and provide education about clinical training, Medicare regulations, denial management, and reimbursement issues. In her free time Stacy enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, reading and volunteering at her kids’ school.
Taylor is the office manager for the Des Moines clinic. She handles a variety of operations including scheduling patients, getting new referrals set up to start therapy, insurance verification, and billing, to name a few! She is a graduate of Iowa State University and spent some time doing additional schooling in Florida. She became a licensed massage therapist in 2011. She will likely be the first person you come into contact with at E3 Millennium Therapy and will ensure you get off to the right start! When she isn’t busy with work, Taylor enjoys spending time with friends & family, baking, trying new restaurants, being active and watching movies.
